Tres Equis for the non spanish speaking is translated into XXX, and this car for me is the epitome of car porn. In this case Tres Equis is the nickname of the owner of this beautiful imported AE86 Toyota Trueno (HachiRoku) straight from Ebisu, Japan. I found out about this car in somewhat of an odd way, one of  my cousins was on VelocidadMaxima.com (A Guatemalan Forum) and he showed me photos of the car and it turns out the Trueno wasnt in Guatemala but only a 2 hour ride down 95 in southern CT. Once I found out the car was within driving distance I contacted Tres Equis and we setup the shoot and he turned out to be really cool dude.

Tres Equis is actually an agent for PowerVehicles which is a Japanese company that deals with vehicle sourcing, building & tuning, drift competition assistance, drift prep, drift car rentals,drift lessons, and he’s been importing cars to Guatemala through PowerVehicles for sometime now. This Trueno was actually sitting at the legendary Ebisu Circuit which is  home to PowerVehicles and Drift Team Orange, so you know this car isn’t just a show queen its most likely been put through the ringer at one of the top drift tracks in the world at one point or another.

It’s so awesome to just sit there and look at the car cause it’s really just something you don’t see out here done in this fashion.

These RS-Watanabe wheels are just such a classic wheel that always look so perfect on Corollas of this era.

Under the hood is all business with a set of ITBs and headers.

This was my first time really attempting to do rolling shots and I think they came out absolutely awesome, and it was kinda like photographing a real life Initial D haha

Speaking of events and shoots I am going to Guatemala in April and Tres Equis has put me in contact with his family who also have JDM cars out there. I’m planning on setting up a meet and getting some features so the followers of F2D and everybody in general can see what the scene is like out there.

I unfortunately have not had the pleasure of checking out  H20i weekend but I think 2012 might be the year for sure. My good friend F2D Tim and GDIB Hannah over at  GermansDoitBetter.com snapped some photos for me, and im really kicking myself for not going cause this wasnt even have of the Fresh that was there this year from what I saw around the web.

Theres snow on the ground and its about 22 degrees outside, yup it’s officially WINTER!! So I figured ide save some of last summers coverages to give us people in the colder states a little taste of what warm weather looks like. I actually couldn’t attend Staggered last year cause I had to work, but my boy F2D Taco was kind enough to get some coverage for me. Staggered 2011 was held in Somers CT at a golf course, that’s actually a pretty good idea cause you have super low grass and super low cars. From the coverage I got it looks like there were plenty of Fresh cars in attendance, if they do the meet in 2012 ill make sure not to miss it.

I also have a shoot that was supposed to happen on saturday but because it snowed so much it didn’t happen, its postponed for next weekend and you guys are really in for a treat if the shoot goes through.

So 2012 is finally here and its time to recap a little bit of my time in 2011, last year marked the 2nd year of Fresh2DeathRI and the best one yet. I traveled to 6 states, 3 of them in New England, 2 of them were “New”, 1 down in the south-eastern US area, and the other 3,000 miles away on the complete other side of the country. I bought myself a proper camera at the beginning of 2011 and I have slowly been bettering my skills as you guys can tell. Coming up later in January I have more Coverage from the Import Alliance Summer Meet that I never got around to editing, I also have coverage from Staggered 2011 wich happened this summer  that I also never got around to editing and I almost forgot I have H20i 2011 coverage that I got from F2D Tim and Germans Do It Better . And! in other news I don’t want to get ahead of myself but hopefully I’m going to make it back out to San Francisco again for Wekfest 12, as soon as I can book my flight ill let you guys know… with that said Its 2012 people Keep it FRESH!!!

If you’re from New England or have seen movies with bad New England accents then you have probably heard the term “Wicked”, its pretty much what “Hella” is to the Bay Area. That being said I bring to you just one of the many Wicked Hard Parkin meets that go on in Worcester,MA If im not mistaken 2011 marks the 3rd year running.  The name of the meet pretty much sums up what it’s all about, come to the meet and “Hard Park” if you don’t know what that means ill break it down further, just “pahhhk yaaa cahhh!” and chill and bullshit with your homies. I don’t attend every single meet this one in particular was in September but I do make it out to a couple when ever I can, they usually run Monthly between March and October so if your local you should try to make it out.

Not many people get down with Altimas but throw on some Rotiforms, a drop and you got yourself something pretty Fresh.

Something about Bentley wheels that just make VW’s look soooo Fresh.

There isn’t much going on as far as events or features since its winter but I do have material from this year that’s unpublished, and I’m also doing my top Freshest photos of 2011 next week before the New Year so be on the look out for that.

I was really excited about the DynoTech Tuning dyno day, especially since it was only 20 minutes away from my house. DynoTech is home to one of the few Mustang AWD dynos in Southern New England,  it’s no surprise to find out they have a strong liking towards the DSM/EVO scene. After spending an afternoon at the shop it wouldn’t take a blind man to see that these guys know what they’re doing.

Since the start of this blog a little over a year ago I wanted it to be event coverage and features, so far up until today its been just event coverage. I’m proud to present to you a car that ive seen since day one of possession, my homie Jesse’s 94 Civic CX. The car was purchased from a Brown student that had come here from the southern West Coast, I ran the vin through CarFax and the car was maintained its whole life by Honda dealerships and since it was a West Coast car it was virtually rust free.

The bone stock Civic had come into the hands of the perfect owner, Jesse is a fan of EG6 Si-R’s and has a thing for 15 inch Japanese wheels as you can see. I’ve seen this car go through 4 sets of wheels, first he started off with white Mugen RNR’s then it was White Regamasters to Spoon SW388′s to the now highly sought after Almighty Grey Final Version Regamaster. As for the Civic itself, its been treated to some of the finer things in the Honda world such as OEM Si-R lip, headlights+clear corner, sidemoldings, muffler,JDM B16A, Gathers rear interior conversion etc… and of course the cherry on top the BYS carbon rear spoiler to set everything off. You might say im biased but I personally think this is one of the Freshest hatchbacks in the state of RI, and if you’ve seen the car in person im sure you would agree as well.

Aside from all the Fresh Volkswagens and Audi’s that came out for broke Down there was a really good amount of non VAG cars, there was also a bar jumping contest that was pretty good too that I got some shots of. So let the Fresh resume check it out!

The first time I heard about Broke Down was last year and that’s cause the first Fresh2Death event was on the same day, well this year I made sure that didn’t happen because I really wanted to see for my self all the hype behind this meet. Well let me tell you guys the hype wasnt enough, Broke Down is such an awesome event that it brings out some of the Freshest from all over the North East. The location is perfect, its free, great entertainment, the food being sold was pretty good, and it’s really something you have to see for yourself.

Sunday of Oktoberfest started off pretty normal, there is usually lack of sleep and slight dehydration from partying the night before. After forcing myself out of bed I washed my car and did all the usual checks that you would normally do when taking a long trip, and I was off to the meet. About 20 minutes into driving through Connecticut I grabbed my camera and realized I had no battery…. SMH! So I wasnt going to drive all the way to the SHG(So Honda Garage) Sol Fresh meet without taking pics, that would’ve been pointless. To make a long story short, I went to 2 Best Buys looking for a battery and the charger I bought for the battery didn’t charge my new battery, luckily new battery’s have some charge and lets just say I had to make every picture count cause I had no idea when the battery was going to die on me. I ended up getting about 60 pictures off wich is about 300 less than what I normally take at  most events.

This is my 3rd SHG & SolFresh meet that ive attended and as you guys have seen from past coverage it never disappoints, the cars are always Fresh and the people are always super cool and friendly. So shout outs to all the members from both SHG &  Sol Fresh you guys always bring out some of the best the North East has to offer.

This RSX is always looking Fresh, it looks like he changed a couple of things from last time I saw it like the RE-30s, Brembos, and Mugen aero.

I’ve never been crazy about Volk RE-30s on Integras till I saw it on this one, I love how everything just flows perfectly together.

One of my favorite cars from the meet was this hatch, from the looks of it the whole car has been stitch welded to incresease the torisnal rigidity of the car. This car looks like hell of a lot of fun to drive.

Claudios hatch has  been updated since we last saw it at the F2D Summer Send off with some Spoon goodies.
